Arrival at Chania airport (if you arrive in Heraklion airport, we will adapt the proposal).
Transfer by taxi to the hotel, in the center of Chania.
Later, meeting with our representative at the lobby of your hotel and discussion on your program. Delivery of documents of your trip (a detailed booklet with day by day information, the best road and hiking maps).

Overnight at a 3 star hotel very near to the center of the historical city and 10 min walk from the central bus station │Double room either with 2 single beds or with a double bed (if you have a special preference please mention it to us).

Transfer by public bus from the charming city of Chania to the fishing village to the South: CHORA SFAKION
After your breakfast, you go on foot to the bus station (10-15 min walk). (Bus schedules will be announced later, so the final program will be communicated as soon as we have the correct information from public buses).

Overnight at a 2 star hotel very near to the beach of chora Sfakion and very near the bus station of the same village │Double room either with 2 single beds or with a double bed (if you have a special preference please mention it to us).
The hotel is a simple, typical hotel, clean and with gentle owners. The hotel offers English breakfast, WiFi and air condition. The photos are representative of the hotel’s style we select.
Boat trip - Agia Roumeli and Samaria Gorge
You can take the boat in the morning to go to the majestic gorge of Samaria. From there, you can have a very good idea of what this ‘FARAGAS’ means … the most impressive gorge of the White Mountain’ range… You can buy tour ticket from the exit and start walking backwards, until the point that you wish. Then you come back to the beach so that at 17h00 you take again the boat to return to Chora Sfakion.

Traveling time: 1h00 to go to Agia Roumeli by boat + 1h00 return

Hike to the Imbros Gorge
Breakfast.
You take the public bus or taxi and move to the beginning of the Imbros Gorge (10-15 km far from Sfakia).
You walk in the gorge which is a very characteristic geological phenomenon for the formation of Crete. After 3 hours, you arrive at the exit. From there our collaborator meets you to transfer you to Chora Sfakion.
Travel time: Around 0h30 (the taxi transfer)
Walking time: 3h00
Included: Accommodation, breakfast, transfer by taxi from the exit of the Imbros Gorge to Chora Sfakion.
Extra cost to pay on the spot: Around 3 euros p.p., admission ticket to the Imbros Gorge + bus ticket from Chora Sfakion to Imbros, around 5 euros p.p.

Aradena Gorge and the beautiful Marmara Beach

Our local driver transfers you to a landscape totally lost in stones, pines, wild grasses, lambs ... From here you start walking down Aradene: the legendary and beautiful gorge of a Crete 500 years before!
The exit of this gorge finds you at the most impressive little beach of South Sfakia/Crete.. The cove of Marmara ... there, you are the chance to lunch at the only, tiny tavern named for its local cuisine.
From there, either you take a taxi boat or you continue walking for 1 more hour to the port of Loutro where you can enjoy a drink.

Travel time: Approximately 4-5 hours of walking, moderate difficulty.
Alternative – less trek
If you want to avoid walking down all the gorge, I highly recommend you to visit the area of Aradena and the abandoned village, walk a bit down the old stony stairs and then back to top of the gorge and then visit the last village of the area, Ai Ioannis to enjoy a delicious meal in a family tavern.
